Gill Business Law

Fees

£150 an hour. Fixed fees agreed in writing before I start. Monthly plans that lower the rate if you need regular help.

By the Hour

£150 an hour

For advice, calls and small pieces of drafting. You’ll have an estimate of the time before I start.

Fixed Fees

For a defined piece of work, such as drafting an agreement or reviewing one, I quote a fixed fee in writing. That is the fee you pay, unless you change what you’ve asked for. If you do, I tell you what the change costs before doing it.

Monthly Plans

If you need help every month, a plan buys a set number of hours at a lower rate. The more hours, the bigger the discount.

Plan Hours a month Discount Hourly rate Monthly fee
By the hour As needed None £150 Hours worked
About two hours a week 8 10% £135 £1,080 a month
About half a day a week 16 15% £127.50 £2,040 a month
About a day a week 32 20% £120 £3,840 a month
About two days a week 64 25% £112.50 £7,200 a month
  • Hours beyond your plan are charged at your plan’s hourly rate.
  • Unused hours carry over for one (1) month, then lapse.
  • Plans run month to month. You can change or end yours on thirty (30) days’ written notice.

Introductory Call

The first conversation is a free 15-minute call. You describe the problem, and I tell you whether I can help, how I’d approach it and what it would cost.

Currency and Tax

All fees are in pounds sterling, plus any tax that applies. Payment terms are set out in the engagement letter.

Ask for a Fixed Quote

Tell me what the document is and what it needs to do. You’ll get a fixed fee in writing.
